In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to collaborate with all areas of Safran Seats GB to provide comprehensive support, direction and where appropriate personal contribution to both build on and maintain the Safran Seats GB Quality Management System. Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Focus on Part 145
  • Protect customers from non-quality, by ensuring that products and practices comply with regulations, customer requirements and Safran standards and promoting a culture of prevention and anticipation
  • Drive continuous improvement, by capitalizing on factual data and feedback and providing the necessary support for all company functions
  • Undertake other reasonable duties, in line with business needs and objectives, which are consistent and commensurate with the overall purpose of the position.
  • Develop and implement an internal audit programme to ensure compliance against all regulatory requirements
  • Support the deployment of the Quality Management System across the Business through the implementation and follow-up of internal audits, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Liaison with all areas of the business on all matters relating to quality systems, procedures, direction, processes, including Quality Assurance implementation and maintenance.
  • Provide support for customer and regulatory (external) audits as required, to ensure process and procedural compliance to AS9100, EASA Part 21(G)/21(J) and EASA 145.
  • Support the provision of coaching on quality improvement and relevant tools (PDCA, Root cause analysis, 8D), as well as Human Factors training, for Quality Assurance implementation throughout the company.
  • Preparation of audit checklists
  • Undertake both internal and external audits as required, including process and product audits.
  • Raise, issue, monitor and manage audit non-conformity requests.

    Sound engineering / quality background, with experience of Quality inspection within a manufacturing / engineering industry.
  • Experience of working at all levels including both internal & external customers. Ideally AS91000 Assessor Ideally EASA Part 145, FAA 145 Auditor, Internal Audit Qualification (IRCA) No candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
