Help us make a difference as a Quality Control Operative at our Aldridge site.

07:30am until 4pm

Mon - Fri

A quick look at the role.

Responsibility for the daily assessment of all material delivered into and produced by the Aldridge PRF. Accurate and timely reporting of findings to the Quality team supervisor and other relevant site personnel. Maintain good housekeeping standards in the work area. Adhere to the company's current H&S standards.

The Biffa division you'll be supporting.

Within Resources & Energy we focus on the treatment, recycling and disposal of waste. It provides a number of treatment services for those materials that can be recovered and landfill disposal for those that are not suitable for recycling or energy recover.

Our MRF's are four automated facilities capable of handling 470k tonnes per annum of mixed recycling (this is equivalent to the household recycling of 4 million people). The facilities sort dry mixes recyclables ready for use as secondary raw materials in manufacturing processes.

  • Carryout daily operations as directed by site management.

  • Carry out housekeeping activities in all areas of the site.

  • Report machine defects to line managers/supervisors

  • Accurate reporting of safety and environmental issues to site management

  • Attend site safety meetings and TBT's

  • Take due care for the safety of self and others in accordance with current legislation/procedures

  • Actively participate in near miss, hazard spotting and other site/company safety initiatives

  • To carry out any other reasonable job-related tasks as required by the company
