Full Job Description

As a Quality Systems Coordinator you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining onsite technical systems in order to comply with our customer requirements and all legal food safety requirements including GFSI for Fairfax Derby and Enfield.,

  • Managing all aspects of the site quality manual and reviewing it annually to ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and in line with customer, BRC, and other relevant scheme requirements.


  • Supporting in continuous improvement of site Technical processes.


  • Reporting complaints to the wider business, tracking and trending the numbers, and pulling together meetings to establish root cause and action plans with the management team.


  • Leading in good working relationships with FSA while keeping up with the latest legislation and changes within the standards and guidance.


  • Completing documentation for Management Reviews.


  • Implementing an internal audit schedule based on risk assessment and accompanying reports, including corrective action requirements, ensuring these are in line with customer and BRC requirements.


  • Leading the site HACCP team and maintaining the systems within the HACCP plan.


  • Working with the team to build and maintain the site TACCP and VACCP systems.


  • Leading site audits and visits including FSA, BRC.


  • Completing internal audits and reporting results to the wider business.


  • Maintaining site technical risk assessments.


  • Ensuring completion of the site validation work including allergen and speciation where required.


  • Completing regular traceability exercises.


  • Managing the site pest control contract.


  • Supporting in the development of the site's quality culture plan.

    Have the ability to liaise with the site management teams (including travel regularly to our other sites)


  • Have experience in HACCP and quality management systems.


  • Ensure effective lines of communication are in place within the Technical Department.


  • Pro-actively engage the Technical Management team with ideas for development.


  • To have a food related degree or equivalent experience and to have experience in food processing.
