  • Be a key member of the NFU Mutual South East Regional team
  • Lead the compliance strategy and implementation of standards
  • Regional field-based role covering Hampshire, Wiltshire, Sussex and Surrey
  • About the role 12 Month Fixed Term Contract As a Quality Development Consultant, you will play a crucial role in influencing and monitoring the performance of NFU Mutual Agents across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Sussex and Surrey. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the sales of NFUM products and services meet the required quality and regulatory standards. By promoting best practices, you will help provide excellent service to our customers and minimize breaches and complaints. You will be an integral part of a dynamic regional sales team, while also working independently and one-on-one with our partners in the NFU Mutual Agency network. Your activities will include supporting and overseeing new Agents to ensure they receive initial training, monitoring, and sales support. You'll also monitor, assess, and coach existing agents to achieve the required standards of competence. Additionally, you will analyse, proactively identify, report, and escalate common or systemic quality risks and issues. This will involve influencing and supporting the shaping of national development solutions or risk mitigation actions to protect customers and NFUM's reputation. You'll also complete Agency Training & Competency audits to gain control assurance and ensure that any remedial actions are identified and agreed upon to meet compliance requirements will also be part of your role. This varied and interesting role requires you to quickly build and develop strong working relationships with regional sales teams, Learning & Organisational Development, and Head Office colleagues. You will ensure effective collaboration across the regional team and that all General Insurance Training and competence requirements are met within your Agencies. Additionally, you will be involved in delivering one-off projects and activities as required.

    You'll have a solid background in Insurance or Financial Services. You'll possess the ability to complete audits within a regulated environment and have experience in compliance and sales. Strong attention to detail is essential, along with excellent feedback and coaching skills. You should be adept at managing conflict and demonstrate resilience in challenging situations. Ambition is key, and you should have strong organisational skills to manage your responsibilities effectively.
