Full Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Engineer within our UK Defence business you'll be responsible for Quality Assurance activities on critical UK maritime defence programmes to support mission success. Reporting to the Mission Assurance Lead, you'll be a linchpin in the MA/QA team. A uniquely positioned team within the organisation, you'll have the chance to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the programme, customer and subcontractor organisations to create working relationships focussed on mission success. You'll be at the forefront of a multi-disciplined assurance team supporting nationally important programmes. - Conduct QA activities on assigned projects, providing independent oversight to ensure compliance with all required contractual quality requirements and processes
- Work with assigned project teams and Global Supply Chain team to assure supplier quality, including supplier on-boarding activities and ongoing supplier performance management
- Maintain effective relationships with key supplier quality personnel
- Liaise with customers, partners, suppliers and other third parties regarding all aspects of Quality Assurance for assigned projects
- Ensure customer deliverables fulfil contractual requirements and standards for quality assurance
Delivery experience to identified Quality requirements across the project life cycle, ideally in a defence domain - Experience of UK Government contractual quality requirements including ISO 9001, AS9100, AQAP 2105 / 2110 / 2210 / 2310
- Experience of supporting supply chain quality assurance through the programme lifecycle
- Qualified domain expertise in one or more of the following QA disciplines:
- Electrical systems to IPC 610/620
- Paint/Coatings to ICorr Level 3 or NACE CIP Level 2/3
- Welding inspection to PCN or CSWIP Level 2+
