Quality Engineer Intern (12 months) - Starting Summer 2025

Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in improving the reliability of our products, which are designed to withstand harsh environments characterized by high temperatures, shock, and vibration. Despite rigorous design and testing, our products sometimes face unexpected performance issues. As a Product Quality Intern, you will be at the forefront of identifying and eliminating these challenges. Deliverables:

• Comprehensive Investigations: Conduct detailed investigations into product failures, providing exposure to cutting-edge technology and a multi-disciplinary approach to engineering
• Customized Assignments: We will select investigations based on your technical interests and preferences, allowing you to define your areas of interest.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to implement effective solutions and improvements
• Final Reports: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on each investigation to management
  
  Master's degree - (Penultimate or Final year) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Materials/Metallurgy, Quality or Manufacturing/Process Engineering or a related discipline
• Oral and written communication skills in English
• Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity

It supports SLB through innovative engineering and quality-driven manufacturing, with portfolio emphasis on rotary steerable systems, Measurement While Drilling tools, Specialised Measurement tools and Rechargeable Batteries for Downhole use, and power source products. Over 400 employees work in SHTC's modern, fit-for-purpose building in scenic Gloucestershire. The facility was constructed to handle future demand for PowerDrive tools with an efficient workflow that ensures assembled tools are extensively and rigorously tested before delivery. On site, tools can be monitored using state of-the-art hardware and connectivity that link SHTC to all field locations. SHTC continues Research & Development investment for new technologies, extending operational limits so that clients can reach hotter, deeper reserves.
