Quality Improvement (QI) Data Analyst
We are looking for someone who is keen to progress their career working with others to continuously improve the care that we provide to people who use our services.
If you want to progress your career focusing on using measurement for improvement, understanding variation and have a passion for data and visualisation and engaging staff in using data for improvement this job is for you.
We are interested in candidates who have skill and experience in using measurement for improvement, developing interactive dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Excel, DAX) and in coaching and engaging staff to make best use of their data.
You will be a strong and engaging advocate for using data for learning and improvement.
Candidates who are successful at the shortlisting stage will be invited to attend an interview on Thursday 26 September 2024- you will need to be available for the whole day.

Previous team members have progressed into leadership and informatics roles., You will work as a member of the Improvement Analytics team within the Improvement service and will provide analysis and application of measurement for improvement methodology to support quality improvement and build staff confidence and capability in using data for improvement. This will include problem definition, implementation plans, ongoing measurement, engaging staff and you will work in close collaboration with Quality Improvement Leads., The postholder will work as part of the Improvement Analytics team within the Improvement Service and
· Provide a technical data support service for the Improvement Service
· Assist in the delivery of QI initiatives
· Participate in the examination of data sets (data analytics)
· Support the development and implementation of measurement plans for specified QI initiatives
· Provide training and support for staff to effectively understand and use data

The Quality Centre is a collaboration between South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at Kings College London and Kings Health Partners. Its purpose is to drive quality, innovation and value-based commissioning in mental health care. Our vision is to optimise health outcomes for the populations we serve, whilst bringing together our learning for wider benefit.
The Quality Centre acts as the repository for knowledge, facilitates improvement and proactively builds long term, sustained, improvement and capability.
The role will be based within the Improvement Service which sits within the Quality Centre. The Improvement Service combines a matrix of quality improvement, improvement analytics and organisational behaviour change and coaching expertise that aims to bring out the best in people to build robust and resilient ways of working with a focus on continuous improvement.
