Full Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Improvement Manager for English and Maths, covering both GCSE and Functional Skills. This role ensures robust internal quality assurance processes and high-quality teaching, learning and assessment (TLA) at Nottingham College. You will liaise with key awarding organisations, oversee assessment activities and promote evidence-based approaches to improve curriculum standards. Challenges

  • Maintaining Consistency: Ensuring high-quality TLA across various curriculum areas.
  • Navigating Regulatory Requirements: Adhering to regulatory standards and inspection frameworks.
  • Addressing Malpractice: Investigating and addressing alleged malpractice related to assessment and standards.
  • Managing Difficult Conversations: Effectively handling feedback and improvement discussions.
  • Staying Ahead of Innovations: Keeping up with advancements in technology and AI to enhance teaching practices.
  • Responsibilities
  • Lead targeted quality improvement interventions and produce outcome reports.
  • Review and evaluate education quality in alignment with inspection frameworks and regulatory standards.
  • Investigate alleged malpractice related to assessment and standards.
  • Ensure effective assessment and internal verification policies and practices.
  • Lead standardisation and moderation activities to evaluate teaching quality and provide developmental feedback.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Proven track record of driving quality improvements.
  • Leadership in targeted intervention and improvement planning.
  • Teaching/training experience in Further Education and Higher Education.
  • Substantial experience in internal quality assurance.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders for quality delivery.

    Competitive Salary: £41,560 to £43,660 per annum FTE
