Full Job Description

The Quality Inspections Manager (QIM) will oversee all vehicle induction and pre-sale processes on the Retail Ops site prior to refurbishment. This will include ensuring that Booking In, Road Test and Cosmetic Inspection, Valet, QC and Image meet daily targets to provide bodyshop, workshop and pre-sale a constant stream of good quality vehicles to refurbish. This will also include the handover process from end of refurb to despatch.

The QIM will be required to actively carry out cost saving exercises to reduce CPU and increase margin across vehicles. This will entail helping to manage estimate audits and spot checks on Road Testers/Cosmetic Inspectors to improve the quality of inspections. Additionally, the QIM will have the final say on site for rejecting vehicles from the Cinch process. This will be done with a commercial perspective and the QIM must be able to select the right route for a vehicle to provide best case scenario.

The QIM will also have final say on site regarding the work content added to all vehicles. Based on this they will be targeted on the CPU, percentage of bodyshop worked vehicles, mechanical spend and number of fails at pre-dispatch/dispatch. Failure rate investigations must also be managed by the QIM to provide a culture of constant improvement via commercially minded decision making., Managing multiple inspection teams across the refurbishment process e.g. Booking In, Road Test, Validation & Pre-Sale.
Progressing vehicles through refurbishment to complete in a timely manner.
Making commercially based decisions to find best repair route for vehicles.
Managing the balance between quality and commercial viability of vehicles within the refurbishment process.
Actively seeking cost saving opportunities on individual vehicles.
Working alongside Authorisation, Claims Management, Parts & Inventory teams to ensure vehicles are progressed as quickly as possible in the most cost-effective manner.
Meeting through-put targets each day to ensure that production is constantly supplied with vehicles to refurb.
Managing holiday and sickness cover across site teams to keep each team at desired productivity level.

Strong competency of SMART repair methods.
Strong understanding of NAMA appraisal methods.
Understanding of mechanical refurbishment practices - levelled tech experience desirable.
Experienced in managing vehicle refurbishment processes.
Experienced in managing vehicle inspection teams.

Up to £46,000 + benefits
