Full Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting sheet metal parts to approve them ahead of the final heat-treat or external treatment stages in line with customer requirements (count, physical check, specific measurements and any additional customer requirements). You will also be responsible for providing the team with direct timely feedback on product non-conformities, highlighting any training needs to supervisors and assist them with any technical queries. You'll use your experience to seek out and drive continuous improvements to identify and resolve issues within your control, also contributing towards wider continuous improvement activities.

- Excellent communications skills are imperative.
- Must have good team working ethic, be highly pro-active and motivated.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings.
- Excellent customer facing skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Solid engineering background.
- Good understanding of the quality management systems (QMS) in either Aerospace/Automotive industry.
- Understanding of AS9100.
- FAIRS process experience preferred.
- Experience of various inspection tools and the ability to understand inspection reports.
- Good understanding of sheet metal inspection and manufacturing techniques, with additional assembly understanding.
- IT literate, in particular SAP, Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills (Lean/six sigma knowledge preferred).
