Full Job Description

Responsibility for Quality activities across the business sites. Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance. Lead and manage the quality function(s), ensuring a proactive culture so that customers receive our products to the highest standards of quality possible.

Managing the companies quality management systems for ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and including third party external audits, such as preparation of relevant QMS documents (QM, processes, work instructions, forms etc.)

Managing the investigation of quality issues arising from IQC, IPQC, FQC & OQC, non- conforming product, field complaints and warranty returns.

Instigate corrective action internally and externally when non- conforming issues arise.

Managing the collation and preparation of quality data from IQC, IPQC, FQC, OQC, non- conforming product, field complaints and warranty returns to monitor quality performance of internal and external suppliers and any resulting actions.

Support the activities involved in the regulatory management of post market surveillance and vigilance activities in compliance with MDR.

Provide QA/ QC input for NP through PDP and Life cycle process, involving PQP, HARM and FAI (DFMEA & PFMEA) at all stages including on site supplier visit(s) to support initial and subsequent production.

Organizing and carrying out internal and external quality audits including supplier audits for existing suppliers and new suppliers for re-sourcing of component parts or NPI (nationally & internationally).

Work with resourcing teams on cost saving projects or developing/monitoring QC/QA with new suppliers.

Adopt a continuous improvement approach to problem solving to reduce the number of issues/customer complaints, together with assisting in continuous improvement activities throughout the business.

Report on Quality activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant KPIs.
