Full Job Description
The Food Manufacturing Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet quality and safety standards. This role involves overseeing the quality assurance processes, implementing quality control measures, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The Quality Manager will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, including exporters, to ensure that the highest standards of food safety and quality are upheld., Quality Assurance Management:
- Develop, implement, monitor and manage comprehensive quality assurance and quality control programs as well as production processes.
- Ensure that all products meet internal and external specifications and standards.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and quality regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, including those by regulatory agencies and certification bodies.
- Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and ensure company practices align with them.
- Identify areas for quality improvement within the manufacturing process.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance product quality.
- Work closely with production, R&D, procurement, and other departments to ensure integrated quality management
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities, including inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Generate regular quality and trend reports for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, and audit reports.
- Oversee documentation control and latest updates.
- Supervise and mentor the quality assurance team.
- Promote and Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on their ability to meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement quality improvement plans.
- Address customer complaints and quality-related inquiries promptly and effectively by investigating end to end
Advanced degree or certifications in Food Safety and Quality Management (e.g., HACCP L3, Food Safety L3) is desired. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in managing quality systems and leading quality improvement initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a multifunctional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills., Quality assurance: 5 years (required)
