Full Job Description
Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Quality Manager - Higher Education and Compliance to join our team and drive excellence across our Higher Education (HE) provision. As the Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the student experience, ensuring high-quality delivery of HE courses, and supporting the College's success in external inspections and awarding organisation reviews. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for education, compliance, and quality assurance. Quality Manager - Higher Education and Compliance - Key Responsibilities: -Quality Leadership: Lead and implement quality systems and quality improvement activities across HE provision. Collaborate with senior leadership, including Executive Directors, Heads of Faculty, and the Director of Business Development, to ensure a strategic approach to quality and HE development -Strategic Development: Contribute to the annual review and implementation of the strategic plan for HE, working closely with the Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Deputy Principal, and other senior managers. -Curriculum & Compliance: Play an integral role in the development and review of the HE curriculum plan, setting and reviewing annual targets. Stay up to date with national developments in HE curriculum, funding, and student support to inform the College's strategy. -Inspection & Accreditation: Act as the Institutional Facilitator in preparing for and coordinating Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) reviews. Ensure all course documentation (e.g., handbooks, assessment plans) is clear, informative, and compliant. -Data & Reporting: Oversee accurate collection and reporting of HE enrolment, achievement, and financial data in collaboration with the MIS and Finance teams. Ensure accurate and timely returns to relevant external bodies. -HE Student Engagement: Lead initiatives to improve student satisfaction, including meeting NSS (National Student Survey) targets and supporting the monitoring of enrolment and recruitment. -Course Review & Innovation: Support the internal course review process, working with faculties to ensure the approval and launch of new HE provisions. - Proven experience in Higher Education management, quality assurance, or compliance roles.
- In-depth understanding of HE quality expectations, curriculum planning, and funding.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience with external accreditation bodies, such as QAA, and a track record of successfully navigating inspections and reviews.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for delivering exceptional student experiences., A qualification at Degree level or equivalent experience in an appropriate subject.
- A relevant Post Graduate Award.
