Full Job Description

The Quality Optimisation Manager serves as the SPOC for the Burton Brewery Quality Department, driving strategic projects, ensuring the correct level of Quality & Food Safety Governance is applied throughout, they will streamline processes to eliminate waste without impacting KPIs. They will assist the Senior Quality & Food Safety Manager in setting objectives through projects, planning, and target validation. They will also provide technical coaching and support World Class Supply Chain 2.0 implementation.,

  • Support strategic projects across production, providing quality and technical expertise to ensure timely delivery. They contribute to cross-functional projects, build key relationships, and lead the Quality Department in developing and assessing strategic initiatives and innovations.
  • Collaborate with Brewing and Packaging teams to support initiatives like CAPEX plans, cost savings, and KPI improvements. Assist in KPI and CI efforts, including validation and tracking, and lead improvement initiatives within the departmental master plan.
  • support the roll out of World Class Supply Chain 2.0 within the quality dept. and be the owner of technical standards. Champion the integration of World Class Supply Chain 2.0 standards and ways of working into all Technical Standards, Projects and Change processes, whilst actively supporting the Line Structure Teams as required through activities such as Problem Solving and planned stops.
  • support with entry level talent and other equivalent roles within the Operational Departments as required. You will coach and mentor the wider brewing and packaging teams on Quality Technical Standards and aspects to build the required level of capability across the departments.
  • You will be required and expected to work in accordance with all safety and environmental legislation and maintain the standards for food and feed safety, legality, authenticity, and quality.

  • Experience in brewing essential
  • Background in packaging, project management and quality processes
  • Background in micro-biology or food science
  • Experience of the tools/techniques in an FMCG environment
  • Management experience
