quality technician

The client are a manufacturer and supplier of systems and products to the various industry sectors. They despatch to a global customer base and, due to continued confidence in the sectors they supply into, are seeking to recruit an additional Quality Inspector to their team. Reporting to the quality manager you will assist to ensure the manufactured products meet required quality standards. Job duties are as follows;

• Assist on quality issues within the manufacturing section of the business (internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)
• Liaise with other departments to assist the transfer to production of new products ensuring accordance with approved data
• Measuring of parts and components against drawings using measuring equipment ensuring parts are correct to specification
• Assist with first article inspection and factory acceptance tests
• Maintenance of the calibration system
• Creation of initial sample reports
• Assist continuous improvement culture at all times
  
  Previous experience working as a quality inspector or technician in a high volume manufacturing environment
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings
• Knowledge of quality systems, drawing and measurement
• Able to multi task and work to a high level of detail and accuracy
• Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Flexible approach to work
The client is based in Redditch so would be easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Solihull, Droitwich, Alcester.
