We have an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to carve out a career within the Food Quality space. We are currently recruiting for Quality Assurance Technician to the join the team at our Hartlepool site. This role would suit someone who has already begun their career within Quality Assurance or has recently finished a relevant qualification within the industry, looking for the chance to apply their learning within an encouraging and forward thinking organisation.   • Carrying out organoleptic testing on production samples, with positive release of products
  • Carrying out Internal audits and supporting external audits
  • Adhering to the EMP swabbing and water sampling schedule
  • Identifying any out of specification micro results and following the correct process of managing the process
  • Ensuring compliance with any legislative requirements, Food Safety, Health and Safety.
  • Supporting the production department as required
  • Daily red pen checks within the production departments, to ensure compliance is achieved
  • Ensuring weekly/Monthly KPI's are achieved as required.
  • Daily/Monthly calibration of the lab equipment
  • Review CoA certificates, file and update SAP
  • Management of retain samples, liaising with external distribution centres for storage or return to site
  • Support allergen and species testing in line with the schedule
  • Supporting the writing and updating of SOP documents

    Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills
  • Fluency of English language
  • Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
  • Highly self-motivated showing strong self-discipline and a structured approach to practices & improvements
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 would be a bonus but not a necessity
  • Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems in relation organoleptic testing would also be a benefit but not key for this role.
