BFT Mastclimbing is pleased to announce an opening for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a family business rooted in innovation and efficiency, we are looking for a dedicated individual to play a pivotal role in our continued success. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the relationship with our customers specifically in relation to our applications and dispute resolution., Build on knowledge and understanding of the Mastclimber and Hoists details and designs, relevant materials, construction processes, and methods

- Responsible for sending Applications to clients on a Monthly basis, working to tight deadlines, and maximising revenues for BFT (Hoists and Mastclimbers)

- Set up an application sign off sheet to say when complete

- Maintain and send old projects finishing/ starting document

- Creating breakdowns of figures from Applications

- Providing weekly reports on application figures

- Producing and maintaining dispute sheet records Carrying out investigations into disputed items and ultimately resolving them which may involve working with the Finance Business Partner, Operations Director

- Interpreting payment Certificates

- Claiming Contract variations via Applications

- Providing pricing breakdowns and details of damage and Engineer callouts as requested by customers

- Communicating with clients and internal staff and answering queries via meetings, email, telephone

- Upload application figures to the monthly sheet used for invoicing Liaising closely with the BFT Accounts Team to ensure that applications are appropriately and accurately invoiced

- Input data from payment schedules for the BFT Accounts Team to reference

- Setting up (electronic and hard copy) of new projects including project folder and gathering costs and putting them onto an application for clients.

- Gathering /Chasing relevant personnel for information for Applications

- Carrying out the forecast of monthly figures for the company

- Creating a schedule of application dates for operations

- Setting up new projects for the application process

- Inserting final date for payments for BFT accounts to monthly figure sheet

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Knowledge of JCT sub contracts
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Ability to work with a new software system (SYNRIX) which manages the rental fleet operationally and commercially.

This role will be largely office based however there will be an element of travel to customer sites when required and the opportunity to work from home when needed.
