Full Job Description

A leading Construction Company with a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable projects across various sectors, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major, new Data Centre projects in Slough, UK.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial and contractual side of the data center project.

You will oversee cost management, procurement, contract administration, and risk management, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets Collen's quality standards.,

  • Develop, manage, and maintain project cost plans and budgets

  • Monitor project expenditures and progress to ensure costs remain within budget

  • Lead the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts

  • Identify potential commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Implement value engineering processes to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and performance

  • Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements for project stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including correspondence, contracts, and change orders

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial and contractual matters

  • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and other commercial team members, A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline

    A minimum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on data centers or large-scale construction projects

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes

  • Proficiency in relevant software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Professional membership with RICS, SCSI, or an equivalent recognized body is an advantage

    Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, full, comprehensive benefits package available for this role with car allowance up to £7k per annum..
