Salary Listing: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum Plus Benefits

As our Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working on our Yorkshire Water
You will be responsible for the procurement and management of sub-applications and payments, as well as overseeing cash flow and aged debt reporting. The role is not simply about managing finances, but also involves working with a team of skilled professionals to ensure successful project outcomes.
As the Quantity Surveyor working within our Commercial Team, you will be playing a vital role in the success of our projects. You thrive on being a key player in managing the financial aspects of the Smart Metering framework. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all work completed is accurately valued and that improvements are made to enhance performance. This role would really suit somebody who is passionate about ensuring the profitability and success of projects.
In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team, working on the delivery of the Smart Metering programme. Your primary focus will be the management of our Sub-Contract partners throughout their lifecycle from selection and on-boarding, though delivery, to final account. You will deal with the financial aspects of the project, including cost reporting and cash flow management. Your day to day activities will include providing sound commercial advice and being involved in the Early Warning and Compensation Event process. You will lead on the performance management of Sub-Contractors ensuring that they deliver in line with their contractual obligations and driving improvements to ensure we meet our client's expectations.

The Benefits and Perks...

Previous experience with Quantity Surveying, preferably gained within Utilities Contracting
- BSc in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying or other related subject is desirable but not essential if you can demonstrate relevant experience within our sector
- Basic understanding and previous experience of NEC contracts
- Capability and desire to use data and other information to identify and prioritise opportunities for improvement
- Full driving licence as there will be an element of site based travel involved within the role
- To be an effective negotiator at both internal and client levels
- Assist with the production and presentation of Monthly CVRs/Profit and Loss accounts
