Join our Transportation Project Delivery Practice (PDP), where everyone pulls together to get the job done. As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in small, specialised schemes as well as the most high-profile projects in the country. You'll be trusted with leadership faster and supported to develop your career in a way that works for you. This role can be based at any of our regional offices (circa 2-3 days per week) but may require occasional travel to sites or offices across the UK, to meet the requirements of our clients and project teams. Your purpose:

  • Involvement in both pre- and post- contract commercial management and quantity surveying duties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide high-quality cost control to ensure successful delivery across a range of contracts and safeguard the interests of AtkinsRéalis.
  • Adhere to the project commercial strategy to maximise revenue, cash flow & EBIT.
  • Support project teams in change control and providing weekly and monthly updates to project leads.
  • Proactively engaging and offering commercial support to project teams including regular visibility across offices and sites, where teams are based.
  • Support bid teams where required on strategic bids with clients and contractors in line with AtkinsRéalis requirements.
  • Comply with the Company Management System (CMS) and all AtkinsRéalis procedures.
  • Help with wider market and divisional requirements as they arise and deliver to business and project deadlines.

    Appropriate Degree and committed to work towards membership with relevant professional body (e.g., MRICS, MCInstCES etc).
  • Prior experience in a quantity surveying role from main contractor or consultancy, and knowledge of contract management and change control.
  • Understanding of the principles of common Forms of Contract (particularly NEC & NEC PSC).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in project and business unit teams, including through use of various Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
