Full Job Description
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources team, to become a core member in the mobilisation, development and delivery of our Wessex Water AMP8 Capital delivery partnership framework., We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our NRNN business unit Water business unit. The successful post-holders' prime function is to support the commercial delivery of the Framework. They will manage value, reduce cost, drive profit and manage risk in a safe and ethical manner. The programme includes a large number of wastewater treatment plant upgrades, various storm water attenuation works, plus other networks solutions. Projects will include the construction of new assets, refurbishment, modifications, and maintenance for both above and below ground infrastructure. Your day to day will include:
- Procurement of subcontractors in line with our commercial standards, ensuring best value for Kier and our client.
- Subcontract preparation, measurement of interim payments, administration of change and disputes and preparation of final accounts.
- Ensuring subcontract, labour, plant, and materials costs are within allowance and correctly paid and recorded.
- Ensuring all cost and financial information is received, collated, saved and retrievable upon request as may be required by audit (both internal and external).
- Submission of change management notifications in accordance with the NEC forms of contract.
A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying along with experience working with NEC form of contracts. - Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and excellent numeric and literacy skills
- A background in the Civils / Water infrastructure or a transferable industry.
