Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working in close partnership with a successful and profitable medium sized Main Contractor who are currently looking to grow their Commercial team with a talented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator. The business has a track record of delivering projects between c 1m- 8m in value across multiple sectors - Commercial, Residential, Education, Leisure and Heritage. The business has a strong pipeline of projects for the remainder of 2024 and 2025. The company have an established senior management team who are all hands on in the delivery of projects and mentoring/developing the career and experience of their teams. Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for quantity surveying functions on projects, from procurement of subcontractors, measurement & valuations, through to processing monthly applications for payment, handling claims and variations. In addition, the professional will also get involved in Estimating duties and working with the pre-construction team in the early stages of projects.

• Minimum 5 years+ experience as a QS or Estimator.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience working on projects c 1m+ in value would be advantageous.
• Candidates from both a Main Contractor and Sub-contractor background to be considered.
• Previous Roles: Quantity Surveyor OR Intermediate Quantity Surveyor OR Package Surveyor OR Estimator OR Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Senior Estimator.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or HNC/HND or a comparable qualification.

Salary: c 60k- 65k basic plus competitive package inc car allowance, pension and bonus.
