Full Job Description
Reporting directly to the Section Manager, the Quarry Supervisor will assist in the management of a busy quarry. As Quarry Supervisor you will also be responsible for:
- Operating fixed and mobile plants
- Administrative and compliance duties
- Using computer systems (Fortek, SAP, Excel and similar platforms)
- Housekeeping tasks and general maintenance assisting the fitting team
- Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures and encouraging others to do so
- Supervising a team (Operators, Fitters, Electricians) across both the quarry and asphalt plant
- Occasional night shifts and weekend working that will be on a rota basis
- Work with other Plant Supervisors to ensure the plant is always running to its expected capacity and in line with the manufacturing and production programme

Supervisor experience is essential. Suitable candidates for the role of Quarry Supervisor will also: - Have working knowledge of operating/maintaining processing plant including excavators, front end loaders and dump-trucks (experience preferred not essential)
- Have working knowledge of operating/maintaining fixed and mobile crushing & screening plants (preferred not essential)
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be able to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team, providing the motivation to yourself as well as your team to achieve the site production requirements
- Be IT literate (ability to use required computer system)
- Be flexible in their working approach
