Full Job Description

Driving and co-ordinating new Intellectual Property

  • Co-ordinating and chairing the department Invention Disclosure Meeting
  • Supporting inventors with Invention Disclosures to improve the quality of submission in both presentation and content
  • Representing the business Patent Review Committee, championing the department's proposals
  • Investigating and appraising competitor IP positions
  • Lead the review committee for the conference papers submission
  • Driving and coordinating research activities
  • Chairing the Research Review Board
  • Proposing and driving new projects to support long-term process and product roadmap
  • Being an active member of Nexperia's Technology Scouting organization and undertaking activities to report on UK-based potential collaborations or acquisitions
  • Being an active member of Nexperia's Subsidy Review Board and committee, maintaining an overview of UK-based project subsidies

    In-depth knowledge of Power MOSFET device physics, processing and assembly
  • A natural strong attention to detail and inquisitive mind
  • Ability to communicate technical details to a general audience
  • Beneficial
  • Experience of dealing with Intellectual Property, such as writing patent proposals, scrutinizing drafts, familiarity with grant applications and contracts
  • Experience of Power MOSFET applications, reliability and failure analysis
  • Ability to successfully chair of meetings of multi-cultural, subject-matter experts
