Radiation Protection Consultant

As a Radiation Protection Consultant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will support our Seniors and drive technical solutions for various innovative projects whilst interfacing with a range of disciplines, stakeholders and clients. Day-to-day, you'll act as the technical lead on Radiation Protection for projects, including supporting and mentoring junior staff supporting the project.

• Contributing to project scheduling, including definition of relevant deliverables, identification of dependencies and estimating resourcing, time, and cost requirements.


• Supporting radiological safety to ensure legislative compliance and adoption of industry best practice.


• Liaison with multi-disciplinary teams across design and operational projects and ensuring that procedures are correctly applied to technical activities.


• Supporting the coordination of radiological protection documentation such as Normal Dose Uptake Assessments, Radiological Zoning, Radiological Risk Assessments, ALARP Assessments, Operating Instructions and compliance statements.


This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. This role is adaptable and can be delivered from various locations in the UK alongside home working arrangements.


• Proven experience in a radiation role, Degree in Maths, Science or a related field
