Full Job Description

As a qualified and experienced mammographer you will be able to work autonomously within specialist areas, consulting senior staff as and when necessary, and will be accountable for your own professional actions. You will assess, manage and prioritise a caseload, giving advice and guidance to patients and other health care professionals.

You will lead on the supervision and teaching of Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and Student Radiographers as appropriate within Mammography.

We are expanding our mammography workforce and are seeking an experienced mammographer. You should be a radiographer registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and will hold either a BSc in radiography or the Diploma of the College of Radiographers. You should hold the UK Postgraduate Award in Mammography. You will have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing the best possible quality in both the technical and patient care aspects of your work. We are one of the five designated National Breast Screening Training Centres in England therefore an interest in clinical teaching is desirable. You will be flexible and adaptable and able to travel between all sites in South East London.
