The department operates a 7 day shift pattern extended working day so a flexible approach to work patterns is essential. The department has CR/DR systems, integrated with Carestream PACS and encompass a comprehensive range of equipment including DR general and dental rooms, flat plate interventional room, CT, MRI, Breast Imaging, DXA Scanning, Spect CT scanner and a wide range of Ultrasound services. The Trust currently has 5 CT scanners and 3 MRI scanners (3T and a new 1.5T). There is a dedicated recovery area for interventional cases in Radiology. The new hybrid theatre for interventional and vascular cases opens in November 2024 You will rotate within the main departments, theatres and CT departments. CT and cannulation training will be provided.
