Full Job Description

King's College Hospital MRI department is looking for a Radiology Department Assistant (RDA) to the join our dedicated MRI team. The role involves helping the radiographers to deliver a high quality service to our patients, with a mixture of clinical and clerical duties. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate compassion, patient care, commitment and effective communication and organisational skills., Your main duties will be to assist Radiographers and undertake a wide variety of tasks in the MRI Unit to ensure service efficiency, whilst contributing to the provision of high quality patient care and safety in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.

The role will consist of liaising with wards, porters and radiographers, radiologists, booking appointments, assisting with infection control procedures, ensure patients are prepared for their examinations, and getting procedural rooms ready for the day. You will also be expected to assist patients to change, replenish stock and answer telephone queries. A high standard of IT, written and oral skills is essential.
