It is essential that applicants must be available Monday to Friday (also including weekends).

The portering role entails moving beds, trollies and chairs on a regular basis and as requires long periods of standing and walking long distances. Appointments are time based and require good time management and prioritisation skills. Patients are required to attend promptly for their imaging appointment.

This post will cover weekdays, late evening finishes, early starts and working weekends. There will be the opportunity to swap shifts with other staff but the expectation of covering the required shifts is essential. There will be the expectation to cover each other for annual leave and sickness with appropriate notice.

The department has been actively involved with national radiography initiatives, such as the implementation of the 4-tier structure. We provide a 24/7 service for emergencies in x-ray and other modalities as a part of our role within this busy hospital.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking and professional, focusing on the patient experience and care at all times. You must be able to promote the highest standards of customer care in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It is essential that the successful candidates possess excellent communication skills as you are the first point of contact for patients visiting our department. Candidates must also be able to prioritise their workload and manage their time effectively.

This post will cover a 24 hour period so willingness to work unsociable hours is essential.

Pilgrim Hospital is situated beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
