Full Job Description

The Radiotherapy Department in the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, Glan Clwyd Hospital is looking to appoint to the post of Band 2 Receptionist for 3 days per week (22.5 hours)., To provide reception duties to the Radiotherapy Department, ensuring that each caller/visitor is greeted courteously and efficiently and directed correctly to the appropriate waiting area. To provide clerical assistance to the department as outlined within the scope of duties and responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of reception duties within a hospital environment. Knowledge of WPAS, Canisc, iFit and NEPTS online hospital transport system is desirable, however training can be given.

The post holder will be responsible for booking patients in for radiotherapy appointments and dealing with patient queries therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner is essential. The post holder must be able to prioritise own workload, multi task and work under pressure within a busy radiotherapy department.

Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft office) is also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the department, including some data inputting and typing appointment letters.
