Full Job Description
- Work as part of a team to schedule and book patient appointments for radiotherapy
- Provide a courteous scheduling service to patients and carers
- Communicate, mainly by phone, with patients & carers and the wider MDT regarding radiotherapy appointments
- Liaise with the Radiographers regarding patient's appointment
- Co-ordinate the SABR MDT & collect data, The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
We are looking for a caring and highly motivated Radiotherapy Scheduling co-Ordinator to join our friendly and welcoming radiotherapy team at the Oxford Cancer Centre. You will be part of a team committed to providing a high-quality, caring and compassionate service for patients. The role is essential to ensure the efficient pathway flow of patients through the Radiotherapy department. Good communication, interpersonal and team working skills are essential for informing patients of their appointments & discussion with the wider team as well as being compassionate and adaptable. You should be flexible in your approach to work, be able to act on your own initiative. Good computer skills are required., - Education to secondary level with GCSE English and maths or equivalent
- Experience in dealing with members of the public
- Basic Typing Skills and knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and Access databases
