Full Job Description

The Branch, Member and Wellbeing Officer (BMWO) is central to achieving the Association's purpose, ensuring we reach and support those in need, through close links with our membership and branch network. The role focuses on delivery of wellbeing through the community of members and branches, with specific responsibility for the management and development of localised wellbeing engagement and activity within their geographical area of responsibility, as well as maintaining a safe and compliant charity network. You'll be working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders in addition to forging strong links with members, branches, volunteers and third-party organisations. Experienced in embracing and driving change in pursuit of excellence, you will be providing guidance and oversight to ensure effective and consistent working practices to enable the provision of high-quality wellbeing services. The post holder will be home based (Central / Midlands) and will undertake frequent travel to support members and branches. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Whilst a military background would be desirable, it is not an essential requirement. Along with supporting branches to meet their governance and legislative requirements you will be instrumental in pursuing opportunities to increase the sustainability and viability of branches. Ideally you will have experience in management, leadership, sales or marketing with strong experience of relationship management techniques. With excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to motivate, persuade and influence others through a period of change, you'll be accomplished at communicating complex concepts and ideas with clarity and passion. You will be adept at working to, and meeting stretching targets with an ability to interpret business information/budgets and apply these to practice. Want to join us?
