Ranger - Stafford

We have an opportunity for a Ranger to join our Shugborough Estate and East Staffordshire team. As a Ranger, you're a champion of nature conservation and the great outdoors, and you'll play a crucial role in keeping the nation's beloved countryside and coast in good shape, for wildlife and for people. It's an exciting time to join the team, in a varied role that will allow you to use your conservation, access and visitor engagement experience to deliver high quality land management, conservation, access and presentation standards across our land. You'll be required to work some weekends, bank holidays and evenings, and be on call. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Lead Ranger, you'll be based at the Shugborough Estate. As part of a team of 7, you'll be working in a supportive environment helping one another across the portfolio.

• practically experienced in conservation work, to protect and improve habitats and landscapes
• happy to talk to all kinds of people about the work you're doing, and why it matters
• hard-working and willing to learn
• able to work safely, using risk assessments and following guidelines
• experienced in managing land, access and conservation, and working outdoors
• able to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates
• a driver with a full UK driving licence
  
  Home to the Anson family since 1624, the Shugborough Estate is the complete working estate. The estate includes a Georgian mansion house with magnificent views over the riverside garden terraces, Grade 1 listed parkland, walled garden and working farm.
