Full Job Description

We are looking for a candidate with who is currently in a Property Administrator or Estate Technician role looking for a change, or a recent graduate. We are a busy, growing department offering great opportunities to learn and progress. The successful candidate will work with account and senior account managers to deliver our business rates management service to national clients. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable individual who will often be the first point of contact for clients, colleagues and stakeholders. You will therefore need to have strong communication and people skills and be able to work as part of a team. Organisation skills and the ability to prioritise will also be important.Key Deliverables

  • Support delivery of business rates service to clients
  • Work collaboratively with national team, playing a key role in supporting service delivery
  • Ensure portfolio movement is actioned appropriately and within required timescales
  • Obtain information from clients/stakeholders and respond to queries
  • Provide internal updates to colleagues and management
  • Review and follow up queries with billing authorities, valuation office agency/Scottish assessor, clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Proactively monitor, reconcile and maintain portfolio information within specialist rating software
  • Effective and efficient administration relating to business rates
  • Prioritisation of incoming workload and ability to manage deadlines and key dates
  • ResponsibilitiesClients and Business Development:
  • Actively engage with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders regularly
  • Delivery of efficient, quality service to clients

  • Systems and Process:
  • Follows processes in line with internal procedures and expectations
  • Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records
  • Accurate and timely execution of duties
  • Proactive and organised in approach to information and system maintenance, A level, ideally Maths and English, University degree
  • Previous property experience
  • Understanding of business rates or previous experience in this field
  • Power BI and/or other BI/MI software
  • Essential skills/experience:
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
