Join us as a Rates Trading Analyst

  • This is an opportunity to join the Rates desk in Treasury Markets where you’ll be managing the pricing and timely risk execution of trade flows to manage interest rate, volatility, and XCCY for the bank
  • You’ll enjoy lots of collaboration in the role while working closely with the wider Treasury Markets Trading desks such as xVA, STM, DCM, Quants, Bond and Repo desk, Tech and C&I

What you'll do

In your new role working on the Rates desk, you’ll manage the pricing and risk management of various flows within the ring-fenced bank. 

You’ll also:

  • Develop a strong knowledge of markets and the drivers of market movements, while keeping abreast of economic data and events that can impact hedging decisions
  • Have exposure to structuring, pricing and execution directly with clients
  • Take ownership of trade lifecycle events such as booking, trade maintenance, unwinds and restructures
  • Be proactively involved in identifying opportunities to improve, simplify and automate our processes
  • Develop analytics on desk to assist risk management decision making

The skills you'll need

To take on this role, you’ll be numerate, analytical, and detail oriented, with knowledge of financial derivatives. You’ll also need to hold a STEM degree or an appropriate analytical qualification.

You’ll also need:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to traverse between different levels of communication such as technical or non-technical audiences
  • The ability to adapt to a range of projects of varying levels of difficulty and complexity
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience of coding including Python or VBA
