Full Job Description

35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office, please contact a member of the recruitment team to discuss further.,

  • Reviewing and drafting finance and real estate documents;
  • Ensuring deal condition precedents and execution documents are completed;
  • Carrying out company searches and drafting company reports;
  • Receiving original documents, collating them, producing bibles and re-packaging them for clients;
  • Assisting the registrations of security at the Companies House registry and HM Land Registry;
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information;
  • Assisting with post completion consents such as the lender's consents to dealings and the sale of residential units;
  • Arranging execution of transaction documents (both wet-ink and DocuSign);
  • Running insolvency searches at relevant points in transactions; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the real estate team or one of the other teams in the banking and finance practice.
  • Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services. All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business program.

    The Candidate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to speak confidently and deal with clients and deal counterparties;
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with or without direct supervision and coordinate multiple projects;
  • A good understanding of Financial documents is an advantage but not essential;
  • A good understanding of HM Land Registry is an advantage but not essential;
  • Ability to navigate Companies House is an advantage but not essential;
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to locate specific items on the internet;
  • Flexibility for additional hours as needed; and
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team., Paralegal experience gained from a strong finance or corporate practice preferred;
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred; and
  • LPC qualified or equivalent preferred.
