Full Job Description

The role is based within the Real Estate organisation at the Broughton site. The candidate will work across the whole Airbus UK portfolio of sites with direct accountability into the UK Real Estate team.

Real Estate is responsible for the huge UK asset base. Working within the team this exciting opportunity offers successful applicants the chance to influence and drive change in a challenging, diverse department incorporating Airbus Commercial, Airbus Defence & Space (ADS) and Airbus Helicopters across the UK, including majority owned affiliates.

The successful candidate would be able to support the activities undertaken in the RE team including but not limited to:

  • lease negotiation;

  • lease administration;

  • finance planning including risks and opportunities;

  • Capital Expenditure business case compilation;

  • acquisition & disposal of Real Estate;

  • master planning.


  • As an Airbus Intern in our Real Estate, your responsibilities may include:
  • assist with the updates to the Master Plans for each UK site;

  • identify space optimisation opportunities;

  • support with the identification of a new workplace request;

  • produce high level executive summary;

  • assist with lease negotiation and drafting;

  • support the financial controllers with the information that identifies deviations from our cost base;

  • preparation and planning of Capital Expenditure;

  • manage projects according to Airbus principles to support the deployment of capital investment planning and project delivery.

    Studying towards a degree in Real Estate Management, Legal, Surveyor, Business, or equivalent;

  • An interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems;

  • Ability to make decisions based on evidence;

  • Basic project management skills, but also willing to learn and develop according to Airbus tools and processes;

  • Good stakeholder management skills, including excellent communication, customer focus and the ability to deliver on commitments;

  • A mind set to explore and work above and beyond, challenge current ways of working to develop new processes and ideas;

  • Evolve along with changing priorities within the business;

  • Flexibility in a dynamic environment;

  • Excellent IT skill set;

  • Good attention to details;

  • Interest in Investment Planning (CapEX) and Supply Chain Management., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
