Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Reception class teacher from September 2024 on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. The position is part time and ideally we are looking for 2 days a week but would consider additional days for the right person.

As the post would be to cover maternity leave within our Reception Class , Early Years and previous Foundation stage experience would be preffered but not essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your class

  • Be a positive role model in terms of behaviour, work and attitude

  • Create and develop a warm and nurturing learning environment

  • Plan and teach well structured lessons to ensure progression across the age and ability range ensuring it meets the needs of individual learners

  • Foster excellent relationships and encourage the involvement and support of parents, governors, community and other agencies

  • Working within a team

  • Demonstrating high expectations for children

  • Withholding the school values at all times

  • Being highly professional
