Full Job Description

The Department of Chemistry are looking for a Receptionist to join our Facilities Team. You will be responsible for carrying out a full range of receptionist duties, supporting the Facilities Team in their day to day running of the Chemistry buildings. You will be the initial point of contact for all visitors to the department as well as providing valuable support to academics, employees and students.
In this varied role, you will carry out duties, including answering initial enquires, either in person, by email or by phone, sort and distribute post, book parking spaces via the departmental booking system and arrange couriers to collect parcels.

You will have previous receptionist experience or front of house experience, will enjoy meeting people, be organised, pro-active and have good levels of IT literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel).
You will be educated to GCSE, NVQ or equivalent level and have experience in updating databases.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA.
This is a part-time post. The working hours for this post are 35 hours p/w (4 days per week). Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 08:00 - 17:15 with half an hour break. The working days/hours for this post are fixed.
