Full Job Description

We are looking for a receptionist to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the CAMHS services across Luton and Bedfordshire on a part time basis. This would suit someone who needs to work around school drop offs and pick-ups., Based within a busy environment, the post holder will have responsibility for providing a confidential, professional, and responsive administrative service. This will mainly include all reception duties, such as greeting visitors, answering the phone and email communications., Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is part of the East London NHS Foundation Trust and provides community based services for children and young people with mental health problems. The service is made up of various multi-disciplinary teams including Emotional & Behavioural (E&B), Adolescent Mental Health including Crisis (AMHT), Neurodevelopmental (NDT), Eating Disorders (ED) and the Targeted team.
We are committed to working in partnership with service users, their families & their social networks to provide treatment to young people suffering from mental health disorders including Depression, Psychosis, Eating Disorders, Self-Harm and Emotional Problems. At CAMHS, we work with children and young people up to the age of 18.
Our clinical teams rely on efficient administration systems and processes. This includes accurate data collection & accurate data reporting, an analytical approach to understanding themes & trends, efficient electronic case management & efficient electronic administrative system management.
To provide reception cover including greeting service users and professionals, answering internal and external calls and taking messages as necessary for the CAMHS clinicians.
Job Purpose
To provide general administrative support to Team Administrators and all CAMHS Clinicians and Managers.
The post holder will be required to work in a busy and demanding environment and should be able to work without direct supervision and to exercise initiative. The ability to multi-task is also essential.
The post requires the ability to work on own initiative and to liaise effectively with a broad range of professions and to maintain client confidentiality.
To work alongside and to cover, when appropriate, other administration staff across several locations in some instances.
