Full Job Description

A new and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to provide an efficient reception service.The successful applicant will provide efficient administrative support and have excellent IT, keyboard and data inputting skills. You will also require strong interpersonal and customer service skills, be able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to organise your workload effectively.The work is varied, interesting and demanding and candidates need to be organised, flexible and reliable. We are looking for people who possess the ability to meet the demands of the service, and also to be able to communicate with a wide range of people, including patients and health care professionals. You will also need to enjoy working as part of a large team, supporting colleagues within the department during busy periods.We are recruiting for a full time receptionist to work across a number of sites. The main base for this post will be Woodview, Mitton Road, Whalley where you be working 20 hours
of your full time hours (37.5) across a week and then 17.5 hours a week will be covering receptions at other LSCFT sites in the surrounding areas.The 20 hours a week at Woodview will work on a rolling rota. A rolling rota is to support health and wellbeing in the workplace, balancing working life and home life.

Week 1: Thursday 10:30-21:00, Friday 10:30-21:00Week 2: Monday 7:00-12:00 Saturday 13:00-21:00 Sunday 13:00-21:00Week 3: Monday 7:00-17:30 Tuesday 10:30-21:00Week 4: Monday 16:00-21:00 Saturday 13:00-21:00 Sunday 13:00-21:00

These are all 20 hours a week at Woodview and then 17.5 hours a week if your full time post will be covering receptions at other LSCFT sites in the surrounding areas which can be discussed at interview

The post holder will be organised, professional, committed and will assist in providing a high standard, quality reception service within designated base.

The post holder will have knowledge of relevant customer service procedures applicable to this role. Problem solving is an integral part of the role.

The role will involve contact on a daily basis with a wide range of people - both internal and external to the organisation and therefore requires a confident approach. The post holder will need to be a team player with very strong communication skills.

The post holder will work flexibly in response to the needs of the service providing cover to various sites as directed by their line manager to ensure continuity of service provision.

o To communicate with staff, service users and visitors on potentially difficult, sensitive and complex issues. This will require a level of negotiating, empathy and reassurance skillso To maintain a high standard and professional reception service within base and locality

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
