Full Job Description

The duties performed by the Receptionist include:

  • Providing a helpful and informative customer focused reception service as the initial point of contact for clients and visitors.
  • Dealing with all internal & external calls appropriately and in an efficient and courteous manner, resolving any queries where possible.
  • Ensuring goods are received appropriately into the building and stored appropriately in compliance with goods receipt procedure.
  • Directing and / or assisting internal or external service users to their appropriate destination.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the department's office and housekeeping supplies in line with minimum stock control criteria.
  • Responsibility for administering patient letters and organising appointments.
  • Undertaking clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, electronic filing and review & dissemination of incoming mail.

    The post holder will need excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work and excellent organisational skills .
  • The post holder should be warm, friendly, welcoming, smartly dressed and knowledgeable and be able to demonstrate a professional attitude., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

    Weqas is an External Quality Assessment (EQA) provider hosted by the Cardiff & Vale University Health Board.
