Full Job Description

The role will require you to interact compassionately with patients and carers at all times.

The role also requires you to show commitment to and participate in quality improvement activities.

You will need to promote at all times a positive image of people with mental health conditions.

The post holder is part of a team providing a comprehensive and efficient reception service for all patients, visitors and staff to the services.

You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do.

You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think independently and be empathetic. You will be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement.

We require a friendly, positive thinking, organised and motivated individual to work as a Receptionist within the Trusts Hotel Services Team.

Candidates must be able to follow and work within defined procedures and have the ability to communicate face to face and by telephone ina helpful manner. You will be required to demonstrate a high level of customer service skills when dealing with potentially distressing situations.Good organisational and time management skills including ability to prioritise effectively are a must.

The post holder will be based at West Park Hospital and will be required to work shifts between the hours of 07:00am and 6:00pm including weekends.

You should be highly motivated, reliable, and flexible also willing to work at short notice as there may be opportunities for extra hours.

Experience of working or volunteering in a mental health and learning disabilities environment is desirable.

Candidates must possess the following:

ITQ Level 2 or equivalent qualificationNVQ Level 2 in Customer Service (or to be completed within agreed timescale)Key skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 / GCSE in Maths and English grade C or above
