Full Job Description

  • Gain an understanding of where and how to signpost patients to the most appropriate person in the surgery that can help them.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the administrative process by undertaking admin roles, calling patients to encourage them to book for poor health prevention appointments, covering the reception from 08:00 - 20:00 on a rota basis.
  • Meeting the telephone answering targets so our patients aren't kept waiting on the phone.

    You will preferably have proven experience in a reception and administration role, have outstanding customer service skills and have the ability to demonstrate professional behaviours at all times.
  • You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of packages including email, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

    Purfleet Care Centre are looking for a friendly, kind receptionist/administrator who enjoys a patient facing role on a busy reception. You will be working with a great team of full time and part time receptionist/administrators and a welcoming wider team. There are opportunities for training and development.
