Job Overview We are: A lively and purposeful co-educational, comprehensive state boarding school for children aged 7 to 18 years, with approximately 670 flexi-boarders and 430 full boarders. The school is a popular choice for local families who attend on our flexi boarding package, as well as for full boarders from further afield in the UK and internationally. This is due to a wide range of factors including our facilities, academic pathways and results, pastoral care, the boarding and flexi-boarding ethos and environment, wide range of trips and co-curricular activities and the resultant attitudes of its pupils. - Free on-site parking We are looking for: We are looking for a Receptionist and Administration Assistant to join our Foundation Office Team. This varied and busy role will require a degree of autonomy regarding scheduling and workload. Duties will include covering the reception and providing administrative support through undertaking tasks which require some generalist knowledge and skills, as well as assisting the EA to the Bursar in the day to day running of the Office. Hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days a week Weeks per year: 40 - 52 weeks Pay Grade: £20,607.60 per annum (FTE £25,832.12), depending upon experience, based upon working 52 weeks per year The successful candidate will:
- Display high standards of customer service whilst multi-tasking and under pressure
- Have strong IT skills, including day to day experience of Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn Google applications.
- Be able to research and implement new electronic systems and/or ways of working where appropriate
- Have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Be a self-starter
- Be confident to challenge the status quo, developing and implementing solutions
