Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Receptionist / Administrator to assist in the Student Support Office within our school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional, friendly team to provide essential support to our school community. The post holder will primarily work at the school's main entrance / reception area as part of a job share. Experience in a similar role / customer service would be preferable.   • Answering calls into the school and assisting with queries in a professional and accommodating manner.
  • Providing access to visitors and students via the electronic entry system.
  • Relaying messages to staff and students as required either by e-mail, in person or telephone.
  • Welcome visitors and assist them to sign in via our Inventry system, checking paperwork and documentation to ensure they are cleared (DBS) to be in the school without being accompanied.
  • Assist Students signing in / out when arriving / leaving outside of normal hours.
  • Processing parcels and postage.
  • Liaising with staff members regarding deliveries, site access, visitors.
  • Additional duties will include providing additional support to other administrative staff and students. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in communication, the ability to prioritise, be a strong team player and have an understanding of school systems and procedures, and / or a busy office environment.
