Full Job Description

We are looking for a 9 Month Maternity Cover for our Prescription Team, at our site in The Sue Nicholls Centre Aylesbury. The Prescription Administrator provides support to our Doctors & Clinicians in the receipt and preparation of repeat prescriptions for our patients. You will be the main point of contact for enquiries about prescriptions from patients. A good telephone manner and excellent communication skills are essential., To process, all repeat items of medication sent in by patients using the various protocols in place. This includes voicemail requests, Email requests, Online requests, Paper requests. To liaise with patients, pharmacies, residential homes and other outside agencies regarding queries and requests. To ensure repeat medication is issued in line with Oxford Health protocols that are in place, and when queries are raised that they are dealt with in the best way and given to the appropriate person. To ensure that any queries on medication are highlighted to the Doctors. Identify patients requiring a medication review and forward to the Doctors Administration department. Keep records up to date for monitoring purposes.
