Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly team in the beautiful village of Godstone. The position is part time based on 30 hours per week Monday-Friday. This will be a combination of shifts either 8:00-16:00 or 10:30-18:30 with occasional late night cover until 8pm on a Thursday., The main responsibilities of this role include dealing with patient enquiries face to face, over the telephone and through our interactive website using digital triage as well as communicating with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure that an efficient service is provided to our 7,000 patients. Daily administrative tasks will include booking appointments, issuing prescriptions, registering patients, managing the generic email inbox and scanning all incoming mail using the Docman software. We use the clinical system EMIS Web along with other applications such as DXS and AccuRx messaging.

A can-do attitude is a vital asset at DHC and we are looking for like-minded individuals to work with us who share the same approach and work ethic.

The contract for the surgery was taken over by DHC in January 2022 and has gone from strength to strength in recent years. The team is growing rapidly with the addition of care coordinators, a clinical pharmacist, three clinical lead GPs and a new management team.
