Full Job Description
The Audiology Service covers the boroughs of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR), Bury and Oldham. The post will primarily work for the Bury Service at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre. There will be some expectation of cross borough cover within the clerical team. It is an Innovative and dynamic team that provides assessment, treatment and advice to adults and children with hearing difficulties., To undertake reception duties and provide administrative support for the Audiology Service. The role will be predominantly at one base at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre however, on occasions it may be necessary to work at another site and be flexible with your working pattern. To meet, greet and signpost patients attending their appointments. To support patients through the booking process and update the patient management system.
- To provide a responsive and patient friendly service that supports the Audiology service.
- To meet, greet and signpost patients as necessary.
- Record attendance and activity on AuditBase.
- Check patient demographics and update accordingly.
- To take triaged referrals from internal sources and add to the Audiology Patient Management system
- To book patient appointments from internal sources and produce appointment letters.
- To give administrative support to the Audiology Service i.e. dissemination of letters, stock control, booking in and out of ear moulds etc.
- To have excellent communication skills and provide good customer care to all patients and stakeholders.
- Assist in the production of statistics.
- To collect and distribute stock/supplies
