Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Intensive Care Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, for a Ward Clerk/Receptionist to join our multidisciplinary team.
The Intensive Care department has a total of 17 modern and spacious single rooms, with 9 Intensive Care beds and 8 High Dependency beds.
You will be responsible for providing a front-line reception service to the ward and for delivering a high standard of customer care to a wide range of client groups, including the ward's multi-disciplinary team, patients, relatives and their carer's.
Main duties of the job
You must play a proactive role in collecting, investigating, verifying and recording a high standard of patient demographic and treatment data.
You must accurately and in a timely manner enter such information on the computerised patient information system, to ensure that the trust receives the appropriate level of income for patient activity, avoids the potential clinical risks inherent with inaccurate patient records and is compliant with national NHS targets (e.g. on data quality and length of patient wait).
"Please note that this role may often attract a high level of applications. Please note this role may close earlier than the original closing date so please ensure you submit your application as soon as possible"
